Fish in the foam
Today I feel a huge sense of achievement. After two years of hard slog on my latest novel, A Fish Out of Water, this morning I sent it off to the publishers of my novel Shadow Self, Human & Rousseau.
And how’s this for ironic? Clovis Lawi Shangalume, who is a spectacular latte artist from Common Ground Café – and who had no idea of my book title or the fact that I had handed in my manuscript today – “painted” me the most incredible fish in my foam.
I hope this is a good sign!
To top that, my son, who is a passionate runner did so well in his race today he has been bouncing around like a helium-filled balloon totally delighted with himself. Another irony? This particular novel is dedicated to him.
So I like I think today was a good day full of positive omens. An excellent day, even.
We have to celebrate those, don’t we?
